Kolkata, April 1 -- West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday wrote to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar alleging large-scale attempts by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to enrol outsiders as voters in West Bengal ahead of the assembly elections. "Credible reports indicate that large numbers of Form 6 applications are being submitted. These do not seem to be routine applications. but a mischievous ploy to include non-residents in the electoral roll," she said. A delegation led by Abhishek Banerjee met Kumar and alleged that at least 30,000 Form 6 applications were submitted in a single day to enrol voters from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. "There are serious concerns that these applications may pertain to individuals who are not genuine residents of Bengal," Banerjee wrote. Meanwhile, a BJP delegation led by Samik Bhattacharya and Suvendu Adhikari met the CEC, accusing Banerjee of making inflammatory speeches....
