Maharashtra govt is still to recover Rs.89,661cr in taxes
Mumbai, June 24 -- The state exchequer, which is burdened with a debt of Rs.4.71-lakh crore, is yet to recover Rs.89,661 crore in taxes from traders and companies, revealed the state's budget document tabled last week in the legislature. "The amount is owing to disputes. For instance, there is a tax of Rs.459 crore on a Thane plot, but the owner has moved SC.
