MUMBAI, Feb. 20 -- Four persons were injured in a cylinder blast at Dighe Chawl near Vakola Bridge at Dhobi Ghat in Santacruz on Friday evening. The explosion occurred around 6.52pm, triggering a brief fire that was brought under control by 7.26pm after the fire brigade rushed to the spot. The injured were initially taken to VN Desai Hospital. Three of them were later shifted to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital for further treatment. Javed Abdul Shaikh, 30, sustained 55-60% burn injuries, Avantika Ajay Gawade, 45, suffered 30% burns, and Sumati Ramesh Gawade, 65, sustained 35-40% burns. All three were shifted to Sion Hospital. Yash Gawade, 15, who suffered 10-12% burn injuries, is reported to be stable and is undergoing treatment at VN Desai Hospital. htc...
