Mumbai, Sept. 13 -- It's been a while since India delivered a Davis Cup performance away from home like they did on Friday, with debutant Dhakshineswar Suresh and Sumit Nagal pulling off singles victories against higher-ranked opponents to put their team 2-0 up in their Davis Cup Group I tie against Switzerland in Biel. Playing on indoor hard courts in conditions largely alien to them, Suresh and Nagal placed India on the cusp of a memorable Davis Cup win against a European country in their den. The foundation was laid by Suresh, an inspired pick by captain Rohit Rajpal who bumped him up from among the reserves to take the court for India first up. Repaying his captain's faith, the 25-year-old, ranked 626th in the ATP charts, stunned the 155th-ranked Jerome Kym 7-6(4), 6-3. The 6'5" big-serving Suresh used his strengths with aplomb against the player who had made the third round of this US Open. The Indian capped off a brilliant debut with an ace down the T. "It's feels like a dream," Suresh said on court after the win. With that fine start, the onus was on Nagal to carry it forward, and the India No.1 in singles did not disappoint. Ranked 290, the former top-100 beat the 222nd-ranked Marc-Andrea Huesler 6-3, 7-6(4)....
