India, Dec. 30 -- A fourth-year BTech student of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, died allegedly by suicide in his hostel room on Monday, police said. This is the fourth case of alleged student suicide at the institute this year. According to police, the 26-year-old was a student in the department of biological sciences and bioengineering. "A suicide note was recovered from the room," a senior police officer said. The student was from Ajmer, Rajasthan, he added.
