Husband, in-laws held for abetting woman's suicide
Navi Mumbai, May 4 -- More than a week after a 28-year-old woman died by suicide after killing her four-year-old daughter, the Taloja police have registered a case of abetment against her husband, mother-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
According to the police, the woman allegedly killed her daughter before dying by suicide on April 24, which was the child's birthday.
At the time, her husband claimed he was out making arrangements for the birthday celebrations. He allegedly attributed his wife's actions to depression, after which an accidental death report was registered.
However, the case took a turn after the police recovered a handwritten note left by the deceased, in which she alleged she had been mentally and physically harassed by her husband and his family, said a police officer....
