Mumbai, Sept. 20 -- The Bombay High Court on Friday morning received a hoax bomb threat email - the second time this month. The court informed the local Azad Maidan Police Station after receiving the threat email. After a thorough check by the Mumbai Police's Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), accompanied by a dog squad as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), the threat was declared a hoax as nothing was found. The court's working today was not impacted. "We were informed about a threat email by the Bombay High Court received early in the morning. A check was done and nothing suspicious was found. The email was declared a hoax. Court started functioning normally at its time," the officer said. The hoax email also mentioned the US Consulate located at Bandra -Kurla Complex, which was searched as well but no suspicious object was found, police said. Earlier this month, the Delhi High Court and the Bombay High Court had received such email threats, which had impacted work as the courts had been vacated. "We have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and are tracing the accused. The accused have been sending several threat emails to temples, hotels and schools from proxy servers and VPNs. We are sure we will detect the case - only it'll take a little time," the officer added....
