Prayagraj, June 8 -- The Allahabad high court has slammed the Uttar Pradesh government over its delay in disbursing compensation to the families of Maha Kumbh stampede victims and sought detailed affidavits from Prayagraj authorities on all the deaths between January 28 and the end of the festival. "Prima facie, we find the stand taken to be untenable and smacking of apathy to the plight of the citizen.
