Srinagar, Aug. 3 -- Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kulgam district of Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday, officials said, adding that an operation was still underway. The encounter began on Friday evening after security forces launched a cordon and search operation in a forested area of Akhal in Kulgam, codenamed Operation Akhal. Officials said the forces received specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the region. "Op Akhal, Kulgam. Contact established in General Area Akhal, Kulgam.
