FIRE erupts in bata outlet at crawford mkt, none injured
MUMBAI, Oct. 27 -- A level 2 fire was reported on Sunday night at the Bata Showroom on Lokmanya Tilak Road, Crawford Market, by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB). As of 10:47 pm on Sunday, no injuries had been reported.
According to the MFB, the materials stored inside the ground floor Bata Showroom in the four-storey Dwarkadas building caught fire. Passersby reported the incident when they saw thick smoke coming out of the adjacent shops.
The incident was reported at 10:26, and by 10:44, the fire was classified as a level 2 fire, one that had begun spreading further. Eight fire engines, six jumbo tankers, an automatic water tender, a breathing apparatus van, a rescue van, an aerial ladder platform, and a 108 ambulance were deployed to the scene.
Senior officials, including an Assistant Divisional Fire Officer (ADFO), a Senior Station Officer (Sr. SO), and three Station Officers (SO), along with ward staff, were present to manage operations.htc...
