India, Oct. 6 -- Three people of a family were killed and two others injured after a fire broke out in a building housing a private hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Agra early on Wednesday, police said. According to police, the R Madhuraj Hospital operated on the ground floor while the owner of the family stayed with his family on the first floor of the building. The deceased included the building owner and two of his three children. The owner's wife and one other son were undergoing treatment, police said. Prima facie, the fire was caused by a short circuit in an electric line in the hospital, said a police officer aware of the matter. "The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. Some people in the house came out when the blaze broke out, but three family members were trapped," the officer said, wishing anonymity.P8...
