MUMBAI, Oct. 14 -- Student activists at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) have had a run-in with the law for observing the death anniversary of human rights activist, teacher and author, GN Saibaba, on Sunday. Police on Monday filed an FIR against eight TISS students for gathering to honour Saibaba, who had been accused and acquitted of Maoist links. The activist died on October 14 last year. The Chembur institute saw heavy police presence all day on Monday, as police interrogated the students for organising the event allegedly without permission.
