Exotic wildlife seized from flier
MUMBAI, June 10 -- The Customs officials on Monday arrested a flier who arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and found several exotic wildlife species in his baggage.
The flier, an Indian national, was arriving from Bangkok. Customs officials said they intercepted him based on profiling. On examining his baggage, they found a Chaco golden knee tarantula, tarantula, leucistic sugar glider, fire-tailed sunbird, purple throated sunbird, crested finchbill, honey bear, and two Brazilian cherry head tortoises.
