Dharavi Man kills wife over black magic suspicion
MUMBAI, March 15 -- A 58-year-old man allegedly killed his wife in Dharavi on Friday after suspecting that she had performed black magic on him, police said.
The accused, Amrut Megh Solanki, allegedly strangled his wife Surajben, 52, and struck her with a broken bottle during an argument at their home. Police said Solanki believed his wife had cast a spell on him because of which his sons had stopped listening to him.
After the attack, Solanki allegedly made a video call to his eldest son, Shivram, 33, during which he was seen covered in blood while the victim lay injured on the floor. Shivram rushed to the house with other family members. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Police have arrested Solanki and registered a case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita....
