New Delhi, Nov. 4 -- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday proposed significant changes and tightened norms for refund of air tickets, including allowing passengers to cancel or amend their tickets without additional charges within 48 hours of booking. Under the proposed rules, airlines will be required to ensure refunds are processed even if a passenger booked tickets through travel agents.
