MUMBAI, June 28 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has busted a transnational cybercrime syndicate whose members allegedly defrauded several citizens of the United States and Canada by impersonating government officials and threatening them with punitive action for fabricated violations. Prince Anand, an alleged key operative of the syndicate, was arrested on Thursday and remanded in CBI's custody for four days for interrogation about the syndicate's alleged activities, CBI officials said.
Anand maintained a lavish lifestyle, evidenced by the recovery of luxury vehicles and high-end accessories from him and his frequent foreign visits and unaccounted wealth, the officer added. P3...
