MUMBAI, Dec. 4 -- BMC has appointed Dr Devidas Shetty as the new dean of HBT Medical College and Dr. R. N. Cooper Municipal General Hospital. Shetty previously served as the hospital's medical superintendent. The appointment comes nearly a week after former dean Dr Sudhir Medhekar resigned. A senior BMC official said the exit followed administrative disagreements. Medhekar had earlier been removed from the post of administrative dean and retained only as academic dean.
