Cong to push for lifting of 50% reservation cap
New Delhi, May 2 -- Ahead of the Congress Working Committee meeting on Friday on the Pahalgam terror attack and the caste enumeration in census, the party demanded the government bring a Constitution amendment bill to lift the 50% cap on reservation set by the Supreme Court, and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to act against terrorists. "You got headline, but what is the deadline?" Congress' communications chief Jairam Ramesh said. He also brought up Modi's comments from 2004 where he had referred to those who talk about a caste census as "urban naxals"....
