Conflict flares after West Bank clashes
India, Jan. 28 -- Israeli war planes struck Gaza overnight on Friday after Palestinian militants fired two rockets following one of the worst days of violence in the occupied West Bank in years. The cross-border fire came after an Israeli raid on a refugee camp in the West Bank that killed nine Palestinians, including militant gunmen and two civilians, and followed months of near-daily clashes in the West Bank. There were no reports of casualties on either side and there was no immediate sign of escalation into a more serious conflict....
