College employee dies by suicide in Dombivli
Thane, March 7 -- A 42-year-old man who worked as a peon in a Dombivli college died by suicide on Thursday, said the police.
According to the police, several people had complained against the deceased for allegedly interfering with the college's operations, staff, and students. The college management had previously served him disciplinary notices regarding his unruly behavior, however, these warnings did not improve the situation.
On Thursday, the college principal had summoned the man, along with his parents and maternal uncle, to address these ongoing administrative and disciplinary issues.
The police said that the man grew aggressive during the discussion. While the family and the principal were still talking, he slipped out of the office, headed to another part of the college and took the drastic step before anyone could intervene. When he was found, he was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Ganesh Jawadwad, Senior Police Inspector, Dombivli, told HT, "There were many complaints against the deceased. We have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR), and further investigation into the matter is underway."...
