Central Rly gm dies month after taking charge
Mumbai, Nov. 12 -- Central Railway (CR) general manager Vijay Kumar passed away early on Tuesday, a little over a month since he took charge of the zone in October 1. Preliminary medical opinion suggests he suffered a cardiac arrest in his sleep, though the exact cause will be certain after a post-mortem examination.
Kumar had headed the Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) and had served in key positions across North Western Railway, Northern Railway, the Railway Board, and the Research Design and Standards Organisation in a career that spanned more than 35 years.
