CBI CHIEF gets 1-year extension
NEW DELHI, May 8 -- NEW DELHIThe government has extended the tenure of CBI director Praveen Sood by a year, an order from the appointments committee of cabinet said on Wednesday. The decision was taken after a panel, comprising PM Narendra Modi, CJI Sanjeev Khanna, and LoP in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi failed to reach a consensus on the next CBI chief.
