Cancer hope: Tata study finds toxicity-reducing agent
MUMBAI, Feb. 27 -- A decade-long research study by Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) doctors has found that dying cancer cells release cell-free chromatin particles after chemotherapy and radiotherapy that can turn healthy cells into cancerous ones. It also found that a pro-oxidant combination of resveratrol (found in the skin of grapes) and copper helped in destroying the chromatin and regulating toxicity in patients undergoing chemotherapy....
