Mumbai, March 1 -- : The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) flying squad inspected 1,082 construction sites across the city. The review was done between February 2 and 27. Following the inspection, the civic body issued stop-work notices to 93 sites and show-cause notices to 135 for violating civic regulations pertaining to air pollution. Additionally, stop-work notices were withdrawn at 48 sites following their successful compliance with BMC regulations. Regarding current air quality, the city recorded a "satisfactory" overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 61 on Saturday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board's Sameer app. Kurla registered the highest AQI at 100, while Mulund West recorded the lowest at 21.
