MUMBAI, Jan. 29 -- The state education department has announced the discontinuation of the blank pages at the end of each chapter in state board textbooks for Classes 2 to 8 starting from the academic year 2025-26. The decision to have blank pages in textbooks was introduced during the tenure of former school education minister Deepak Kesarkar in order to reduce the weight of notebooks.
