MUMBAI, Feb. 20 -- A Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) bus hit a four-wheeler in Aarey Colony on Thursday morning, injuring the 24-year-old driver. The police said the incident occurred at 6:30 am at Dinkarrao Desai Marg when Abbas Uddin Lashkar was driving his Ertiga car from Malad to Kurla and was hit by a BEST bus coming from the opposite direction. The impact of the head on collision left Lashkar injured. The BEST bus driver then took him to the Trauma Care Hospital in an autorickshaw. The police said the doctor on duty told them that the victim, Lashkar has suffered injuries to his right shoulder, face and chest. The police have registered a case against the bus driver. The incident comes after three accidents relating to BEST buses, one on Tuesday night, and two others on Wednesday.
