B'luru man held with gibbons
MUMBAI, Sept. 25 -- A 31-year-old delivery person from Bengaluru was nabbed after two baby gibbons, an endangered species, were found in his possession.
The accused, Arvind Arogyaraj, was allegedly working as a courier for a wildlife smuggling racket. The gang's members instructed him via WhatsApp to collect the gibbons from Andheri, where he stayed in a hotel. They even booked flight tickets for him on 20 September, said an officer. The police, based on a tip-off, raided his hotel room on Tuesday and seized the animals.
Arogyaraj was handed over to the Forest Department for further investigation.htc...
