Anup scores 127 for Dnyandeep; sharvil takes 5
Mumbai, Jan. 13 -- Anup Yadav scored a brilliant 127 off 95 balls (24x4s, 1x6s) while Neil Naik hit a valuable 95 off 176 balls (17x4s) as Dnyandeep Seva Mandal's Primary & Secondary School notched up 340 against VN Sule Guruji English Medium School on the first day of their MSSA U-14 Giles Shield semi-final at Parsee Gymkhana on Monday.
VN Sule Guruji's left-arm spinner Sharvil Nalawade grabbed a five-wicket haul. Medium pacer Aaradhya Kadam also picked up three wickets. In reply, VN Sule Guruji were 19/0 in 9 overs at stumps on Day 1.
The toss at the start of the semi-final was conducted by Nadim Memon, the MSSA cricket secretary. Caps and T-shirts were also handed over to the budding cricketers.
The second semi-final between Rizvi Springfield and Swami Vivekanand International SSC will begin from Tuesday.
