Amre opens 129th U-16 Harris Shield season
Mumbai, Nov. 1 -- Former India player Pravin Amre, along with Sulakshan Kulkarni and MCA chief Ajinkya Naik, officially opened the 129th edition of the Under-16 Harris Shield cricket tournament on Friday in BKC.
However, due to unseasonal rain, all matches had been called off for the day.
Home-team Bombay Gymkhana booked its spot in the semi-final of the Bombay Gymkhana International Rugby 10s on Friday.
The hosts will face Kolkata-side Future Hope in the semi-final. In the other semi-final, UK's BARA will take on Hurricanes.
In an all-Maharashtra final, Pune's Anika Dubey beat Akanksha Gupta of Thane 11-5, 11-8, 11-8 to clinch the title in the under-19 women's singles event at the Sub-Junior & Junior National Squash Championships in Chennai on Saturday....
