Air quality dips with Cooler weather in city
MUMBAI, Nov. 11 -- With the onset of winter, nighttime temperatures were at the lowest in November so far, with 19degC recorded at the Santacruz observatory, a departure of 2.9degC from the normal level. According to the weather bureau, the minimum temperature for the next 24 hours in Mumbai is expected to range between 19degC and 22degC, while daytime temperatures are forecasted to remain between 31degC and 33degC.
Meanwhile, the Colaba coastal observatory registered a minimum of 22degC. The daytime temperature at the Santacruz observatory was 32.6degC, and at the Colaba station it was 32degC.
The temperature dip prompted an increase in air pollution. The air quality index (AQI) remained in the 'moderate' category for the fourth consecutive day, with the pollution control board recording 110 on Monday, 109 on Sunday, and 157 on Saturday.htc...
