New Delhi, Nov. 27 -- India on Wednesday earned the rights to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad, bagging its first multi-disciplinary mega sporting event since 2010 CWG in Delhi. The Commonwealth Sport general assembly in Glasgow comprising delegates from 74 member nations and territories approved India the hosting rights. The 2030 Games will demonstrate India's ambition and commitment to host the 2036 Olympics, for which the country has bid with Ahmedabad as host city.
