New Delhi, May 15 -- With elections to the seven Delhi Lok Sabha seats over, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has begun moving to "secure" the 70 strongrooms in the capital where the electronic voting machines (EVMs) are stored till Counting Day - May 23.
A senior AAP leader Tuesday said the party has selected nearly 150 volunteers for the purpose. "Starting today, highly skilled AAP volunteers will ensure safety of EVMs. They have already been deployed at the strongrooms and the counting stations," he said.
According to the Election Commission of India, the strongrooms in Delhi have been provided with three-tier security.
