India, June 10 -- Just a day after celebrating his birthday, 32-year-old railway police officer Vicky Mukhiyadal died after falling off the local train while returning home from night duty. A resident of Kalyan East, Vicky had boarded a Karjat-bound local from Thane when the incident occurred during peak morning rush. He had joined the Thane Government Railway Police only a year ago and was the sole breadwinner for his family. Vicky leaves behind a wife and a three-year-old son, whose birthday is on June 17. "He was more than a neighbour, he was my closest friend," said Santosh Aagavane, recalling their last conversation near the station just days earlier.
