MUMBAI, Jan. 2 -- A 62-year-old man has been booked for allegedly impersonating a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer by showing a fake identity card in an attempt to evade ticket checking in a local train. According to the police, the incident occurred on a CSMT-bound Harbour Line local train. When the train reached Tilak Nagar station, a train ticket examiner boarded the compartment and asked the accused to show his ticket when he claimed to be a government staffer. "When asked to show proof of identity, the accused allegedly produced a fabricated plastic card bearing the name 'Central Bureau of Investigation, Government of India,' along with his name, Badruddin J Khan," said a police officer, adding that the back side of the card carried a golden-coloured emblem and a blue ribbon displaying the words 'Government of India'.
