5 men, 2 women booked for gang-rape of 21-year-old
THANE, May 9 -- The Titwala police on Wednesday registered a case against five men for allegedly gang-raping a 21-year-old woman. Two women involved in the incident were also booked for helping in the crime.
According to the police, the woman was staying with her aunt but moved out after an argument. Days later, when she wanted to return to her aunt's place, one of her friends asked her male friend to help her move. He brought four of his friends to help carry her luggage.
On the way to her aunt's house, the accused allegedly took a different route, telling her that they would first visit a construction site and then drop her.
The police said the accused then injected her with a sedative in the neck. When she regained consciousness, she was at a rest house in Kalyan, without any clothes. She suspects she was raped and registered a case with the Titwala police....
