23 yrs on, CM's wife resigns from Axis Bank
Mumbai, Feb. 20 -- Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, has resigned from Axis Bank after over 23 years of service. While the reason for her resignation is not known, people close to her said she is neither planning to take up another banking job nor enter politics.
Amruta Fadnavis announced her resignation from her post as senior vice president on X."23 years ago, I walked into Axis Bank as a young Management Trainee. Today, I signed off as Senior Vice President, with heartfelt gratitude. With experience spanning branch operations, corporate banking, treasury, customer relations, this institution has been my family, and second home," she wrote.
"Grateful to my colleagues and leaders, especially MD and CEO Amitabh Chaudhry, for all the support. As this beautiful chapter closes, I carry lifelong lessons and friendships." the post read. Amruta Fadnavis, 46, is also known as a singer and social worker. "She is, however, unlikely to join a job," said a BJP leader. "Neither will she enter politics."...
