Kalyan, May 19 -- The Khadakpada police booked two men on Saturday for allegedly robbing a 56-year-old woman of valuables worth Rs30,000 at gunpoint in Ambivli, Kalyan.

According to the Khadakpada police, the complainant, Nayankala Thapa, lives in Shivaji Nagar in Ambivli. Thapa was alone at her residence when two masked robbers barged into her house with guns. They tied her hands and legs. Later, when her son Dhanraj, 29, reached the house he was also tied up. Thapa told the police that the robbers stole cash worth Rs10,000, gold jewellery worth Rs20,000, and took their cell phones and fled.
