Thane, May 10 -- In February Thane Municipal Corporation's (TMC) town planning department had said it would file a report on floor space index (FSI) violations in the redevelopment of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (Mhada) buildings in seven days. Two months down the line no report has been filed.
Shiv Sena corporator and leader of the house, Naresh Mhaske, drafted a letter to the town planning department seeking an explanation for the delay.
An FSI is the amount of construction allowed on a particular plot - higher the FSI, more the number of floors that can be added.
