2 Maoists with bounty of Rs.80L shot dead in C'garh
raipur, Sept. 23 -- Two top Maoist leaders carrying a bounty of Rs.40 lakh each were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Monday, prompting Union home minister Amit Shah to laud the forces for "another major victory".
Police identified the two as Raju Dada alias Katta Reddy, 63, and Kosa Dada alias Kadari Reddy (67), and said both were central committee members of the outlawed CPI (Maoists).
Inspector general of police (Bastar), Sundarraj P, said their death was a "major blow" to the outlawed group. "Despite the difficult terrain and adverse weather, police and security forces in Bastar remain committed in line with the vision of the GoI, the Chhattisgarh government, and aspirations of people of Bastar."...
