Mumbai, Sept. 8 -- Seven legislators, including a minister of state and 40 Mantralaya and Vidhan Bhavan employees tested positive for Covid-19, ahead of the two-day monsoon session of the state legislature that began on Monday. They were not allowed to enter the legislature premises.

Amid the pandemic, the state had made Covid-19 tests mandatory for all legislators, their staff, and state secretariat employees. Only the one who tested negative were to be allowed to enter the Vidhan Bhavan complex in Nariman Point in south Mumbai.
