PALGHAR, May 19 -- Thirteen workers were hospitalised after an accidental leakage of dimethyl sulphate in a unit located at Tarapur MIDC in Palghar at 3am on Sunday. The workers are currently under observation at a hospital in Boisar. The factory, where the incident occurred, has about a thousand workers and staff and manufactures antioxidants. A preliminary inquiry revealed that a 500-litre receiver was used to transfer the DMS solution from one plant to another.
