Patna, Nov. 3 -- Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched a scathing attack against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad over the "jungle raj" era in Bihar during his regime, further claiming that if his son is voted to power, then Bihar would see the creation of "three ministries for murder, kidnapping and extortion". Addressing rallies in Muzaffarpur and Hajipur, Shah exhorted voters to reject the return of RJD's "jungle raj" and choose "20 years of good governance" under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. "For 20 years, Nitish Babu, and for the last 11 years, PM Modi and Nitish Babu together, left no stone unturned for the development of Bihar," he said as he likened the five major parties in the NDA to the "Pandavas". "In Bihar's elections, the NDA's coalition, like the five Pandavas, entered the election battle with strength. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), JD(U), Chirag Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas), Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) Party are united and determined to stop the jungle raj." Shah said that if the NDA is voted to power, the ruling bloc will make "Bihar flood-free". "It is our pledge. We will set up a separate ministry to ensure that Bihar is saved from flood fury," Shah said. If Lalu's son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is made CM, he said, "three more new portfolios will be created to oversee kidnapping, extortion and murder...Your votes for the NDA will save Bihar from RJD's 'jungle raj'". The senior BJP leader similarly attacked Sonia Gandhi, saying the Congress leader was only concerned about making her son Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister. "Lalu Ji and Sonia Ji, both are concerned not about the country, but about their own families. Lalu Ji wants his son to become the CM, and Sonia Ji wants her son to become the PM. But, let me tell both that neither Tejashwi can become CM, nor Rahul PM because the seats are not vacant. In Bihar, there is Nitish Babu, and in Delhi, there is Modi Ji!," he said. He also claimed that the Opposition bloc was disjointed, saying, "If the alliance that is not united, can that alliance keep Bihar united? Keeping Bihar united, safe, and prosperous can only be achieved through the leadership of Nitishji and Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party." Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, during his rallies in Tarapur and Mahishi, highlighted the works done over the past 20 years for Bihar's development even as he claimed that the RJD "never worked for development". "I have always worked for the welfare of the state and put development on my priority working for all sections of the society. But, they only worked to push their family. In one instance, he even made his wife the CM. They had pushed the state to underdevelopment and chaos whereas now there is peace, development in Bihar," he said....
