India, June 10 -- Ketan Saroj, 22, had recently begun a new job in Thane and was excited about building his future. But his dreams were cut short when he died after slipping and falling from the overcrowded train on Monday. "He was the eldest, the hope of our family," said Rajesh Singh, Ketan's uncle. "He was close to his grandparents, a bright student, a kind soul." Ketan's cousin was on the same train and witnessed the horror unfold. "They pulled the emergency chain, but the train didn't stop. If help had arrived in time-during the golden hour-Ketan might have survived," said Rajesh. The family is devastated. "We raised him with so much love and hope, and now he's gone. in seconds.
