'Dishonest': EAM slams Cong, says Pak was not tipped off about strikes
New Delhi, May 27 -- External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Monday described as dishonest and a misrepresentation the Congress's allegation that the government tipped Pakistan off before Indian military strikes on terrorist infrastructure on May 7, said people familiar with the matter.
The issue, which the Congress has used to repeatedly target Jaishankar, figured in a meeting of the parliamentary consultative committee on external affairs that was chaired by the minister. The meeting focused on Operation Sindoor and India's new approach to combating terror, they added.
There was no official word on the meeting held behind closed doors beyond a social media post by Jaishankar.
