Mumbai, June 13 -- Structural auditor Neerajkumar Desai's firm failed to point out the corrosion of the structural elements of the Himalaya foot overbridge (FoB), which collapsed on March 14, in their 2018 audit report, the prosecution stated on Wednesday, in their objection to Desai's bail plea.

Desai was the first person arrested in connection with the bridge collapse tragedy where seven people were killed and around 31 were injured. He had filed a bail plea in the sessions court on May 13 after the Azad Maidan police filed a charge sheet against him and two others.
