LUCKNOW, March 24 -- State's higher education minister, Yogendra Upadhyay, on Monday said that the present era is technology-driven, therefore, it is essential for the youth to acquire proficiency in modern skills-such as artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) - alongside their traditional education. He said this while participating as the chief guest in the certificate distribution ceremony of the 'Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC-2026),' held at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Lucknow. He noted that the youth of UP are rapidly embracing these advanced technologies and successfully carving a niche for themselves both within the country and globally. Addressing the gathering, the minister emphasised that education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge, but serves as a powerful foundation for personality development and nation-building. He called upon the youth to utilize their skills-bolstered by technical proficiency-while prioritizing a positive mindset and the national interest. At the event, he awarded certificates to over 400 students and extended his best wishes for their bright futures.
