Youths urged to leverage skills with tech proficiency
LUCKNOW, March 24 -- State's higher education minister, Yogendra Upadhyay, on Monday said that the present era is technology-driven, therefore, it is essential for the youth to acquire proficiency in modern skills-such as artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) - alongside their traditional education.
He said this while participating as the chief guest in the certificate distribution ceremony of the 'Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC-2026),' held at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Lucknow. He noted that the youth of UP are rapidly embracing these advanced technologies and successfully carving a niche for themselves both within the country and globally.
Addressing the gathering, the minister emphasised that education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge, but serves as a powerful foundation for personality development and nation-building. He called upon the youth to utilize their skills-bolstered by technical proficiency-while prioritizing a positive mindset and the national interest.
At the event, he awarded certificates to over 400 students and extended his best wishes for their bright futures.
Lauding initiatives such as the 'Samsung Innovation Campus,' he remarked that such programs foster better synergy between the education sector and industry, thereby creating increased employment opportunities for the youth....
