Meerut, Sept. 18 -- A young man was stabbed to death in Muzaffarnagar's Dakshini Khalapar area, when he confronted a local youth for performing dangerous bike stunts in their neighbourhood. The case, reported under the Khalapar police station jurisdiction in Ward 48 on Tuesday evening, sparked outrage among residents, with the victim's family demanding stringent action against the perpetrators. According to police, the incident occurred when Mohd Afsar, 25, a resident of the area, objected to Sahil, a fellow neighbourhood youth, performing reckless bike stunts. Sahil, reportedly known for frequently engaging in such activities, took offence at Afsar's intervention. In a fit of rage, Sahil, along with his uncle Annu, a Samajwadi Party ward councilor, and another accomplice named Aavez, attacked Afsar with a knife. The assault left Afsar severely injured, and the accused fled the scene. The police was informed, and officers rushed Afsar to a nearby hospital for treatment. Due to the critical nature of his injuries, doctors referred him to a medical facility in Meerut. Tragically, Afsar succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital. "Sahil would ride his bike recklessly through the streets, performing stunts that endangered everyone, especially kids," said a local resident. "Afsar only asked him to stop for the safety of others, but it cost him his life." The incident sparked widespread anger, with Afsar's family demanding not only strict legal action but also "bulldozer action" against the accused, referring to the demolition of properties linked to criminals. The police have registered a case for culpable homicide based on a complaint filed by the victim's family at Khalapar police station. Authorities have identified Sahil, Annu, and Aavez as the primary suspects and have formed teams to apprehend them. SP, city, Satyanarayan Prajapat, said, "On Tuesday night, Khalapar police received information about a youth being stabbed by three individuals. The victim was initially admitted to the district hospital, from where he was referred to Meerut, but he passed away during transit. A case has been registered against the three accused under appropriate sections, and police teams are actively working to arrest them. We are investigating all aspects of the case, and legal action will be taken swiftly."...
