Youth held for placing bicycle on railway track
PRAYAGRAJ, July 21 -- A major accident was averted after the loco pilot of Prayagraj-Bareilly Express train spotted a bicycle lying on the railway track and informed the authorities concerned, on Saturday morning. A team of officers cleared the track for the train to proceed. On the complaint of the outpost in-charge, police registered a case and arrested the youth who had allegedly kept the cycle on the track.
As per reports, the Prayagraj-Bareilly Express train was going from Bareilly to Prayagraj at 3.54am on Saturday morning. As soon as the train reached near Chakolia village in Manikpur, the loco pilot stopped the train after seeing a bicycle lying on the track. He informed the station master of Kunda railway station as well as the control room.
RPF outpost in-charge Kunda Harnamganj Pradeep Singh registered a case at Manikpur police station. As per the complaint on the morning of July 19, Bareilly Express driver DK Shukla sent a memo to Kunda station master mentioning the presence of a bicycle in the middle of the railway track between Gadhi Manikpur and Kunda Harnamganj railway station....
