PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 2 -- A 23-year-old youth, injured in a road accident on August 25, died during treatment at a private hospital in Georgetown on Monday. His death sparked protests by family members, who accused the doctors of negligence and objected to a demand of Rs.1.40 lakh in dues. Police reached the hospital and pacified the agitated relatives. SHO Georgetown, Santosh Kumar Singh, said the situation was brought under control after talks with the family and doctors, and the dues were waived.
