Yogi warns of NSA againstfertiliser black marketers
LUCKNOW, Dec. 17 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday warned of strict action under the National Security Act (NSA) against those involved in selling fake or adulterated fertilisers or indulging in black marketing, asserting that no one would be spared if farmers faced any hardship.
Chairing a high-level meeting with the agriculture and cooperative ministers, he directed daily monitoring of fertiliser availability and distribution, with the CM Office directly overseeing all districts and enforcing zero tolerance for irregularities.
The chief minister instructed district magistrates, additional district magistrates and sub-divisional magistrates to conduct mandatory surprise inspections of fertiliser shops and committees to ensure that DAP, urea and potash are sold strictly at government-notified rates. "Accountability will be fixed wherever farmers suffer losses," he warned.
"Field officers' activities will be closely monitored, and any collusion or negligence will invite open vigilance inquiries," Yogi said. htc...
